The Brooklyn Nets celebrate Black History Month (BHM) throughout February with numerous in-game activations, community outreach efforts, elevated performances, and exciting giveaways. The Brooklyn Nets will be honoring the collection of communities that comprise the African Diaspora and Brooklyn Caribbean community during our BHM United Game.

Sounds

Local Caribbean DJ, Billionaire Pat, brought the sounds of the Caribbean to the concourse until tip-off.

Halftime

World Renowned dancehall singer Mr.Vegas, performed his greatest hits during halftime.

Activation

JouvayFest Collective brought J’ouvert Genesis Immersive Experience to the arena. Fans were able to learn more about the history of J’ouvert and see five characters on display, two of which came to life.

Entertainment

In conjunction with the West Indian American Day Carnival Association (WIADCA), carnival dancers and stilt walkers engaged with fans as they entered the concourse.

Game Ball Delivery

The Game Ball was delivered by representatives of Tropicalfete Inc.: Alton Aimable, President and Founder, and Keran Deterville. Board Member.

Giveaway

Fans were given rally towels around the concourse, tying in the West Indian Night theme.
